Caring for Community Critters

Caring for Community Critters at the Lake View Nature Center

Did you know there are animals in our community in need of your support? This summer the Oakbrook Terrace Park District's Nature Center is collecting gently used towels for the Willowbrook Wildlife Center, a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organization in the neighboring community of Glen Ellyn. These towels will be used to care for local wildlife, including animals that have been injured.

We need your help to ensure that this effort is successful!

Gently used towels can be dropped off to the Lake View Nature Center during its summer open houses:

  • F, Jun 14, 2:00-6:00 pm
  • Sa, Jul 6, 11:00 am-3:00 pm
  • F, Aug 9, 2:00-6:00 pm

Patrons who donate gently used towels at one of the Nature Center's upcoming open houses will be entered to win a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Nature Center!
