Have you thought about taking an active role in community government? Are you a resident of Oakbrook Terrace Park District? The Oakbrook Terrace Park District has two open Commissioner positions for the 2017 election cycle taking place April 4th, 2017. Park District Commissioners receive no compensation for their role, and are elected to a six year term. Candidates need to be U.S. Citizens, at least 18 years Old, registered voters and live within the boundaries of Oakbrook Terrace Park District for at least one year prior to running. If you are interested in exploring a candidacy, you can pick up nominating petitions and election materials at the Oakbrook Terrace Park District Heritage Center (1S325 Ardmore Ave, Villa Park, IL 60181) between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm, excluding holidays. Filing dates for petitions are December 19th, 2016. Petitions are to be files at the Oakbrook Terrace Park District Heritage Center between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
